The Joker

A new innovation introduced in Racing League 2022 allows each of the managers of the seven competing teams having the opportunity to play a Joker in any two of the 42 races when there are at least 12 horses running. 

The Joker doubles the points won by the two horses representing the team in a given race.  When played, the team receives double points in that given race but it is not applied to individual jockey points.

The team manager will announce their intention to play a Joker in the Paddock, directly before the selected race. This is done by placing a Joker card alongside the team name on the scoreboard in the Paddock.
